The 5th Ordinary General Assembly of the Global Geoparks Network (GGN) took place on 10th September 2025 at the Kutralkura UNESCO Global Geopark in Chile. 

This biennial event serves as the principal decision-making forum for the GGN, bringing together representatives from UNESCO Global Geoparks worldwide to discuss governance, strategy, and future directions. Ιt also elected the new GGN Executive Board, the governing body of the Association.
