Announcement of the 2025–2029 GGN Executive Board
The 5th Ordinary General Assembly of the Global Geoparks Network (GGN) was held at Kutralkura Geopark in Chile on September 10th, 2025, where the elections for the new GGN Executive Board took place.
The Executive Board, consisting of 15 members, serves as the governing body of the Global Geoparks Network and will hold office for a four-year term from 2025 to 2029.

The GGN Advisory Committee also elected its leadership for the 2025–2029 term:

This new Executive Board and Advisory Committee will guide the Global Geoparks Network in its mission to promote Earth heritage, sustainable development, and community engagement across all UNESCO Global Geoparks worldwide.
