2025 GEOPARK SDGs REPORT
Geopark Contribution on SDGs for the year 2025
Being a UNESCO Global Geopark requires in the overall sense to follow the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), since UNESCO is one of the specialized agencies of the United Nations.
The Global Geoparks Network through the GGN Working Group on SDGs is compiling a Report that shows the evidence of the UNESCO Global Geoparks contribution to the SDGs.
For the UNESCO Global Geoparks it is essential to be perceived and mentioned as active partners in the implementation and promotion of the SDGs in UNESCO´s sessions, meetings and publications on a regular basis. This requires a scheme and continuity of reporting by the UNESCO Global Geoparks regarding all activities, which underline how they support the SDGs.
The annual SDGs reporting is now continuing for a third consecutive year, following the strong success of the previous two years, and will present the SDG activities for 2025.
In order to start the reporting process, we kindly ask you to complete the following template with your activities of the previous year 2025.

Geopark Annual Reports 2025
Geopark Annual Reports serve as an important tool for presenting the operation and activities of UNESCO Global Geoparks, as well as the Global Geopark Network as a whole.
These public documents are collected and assessed by the Global Geoparks Network and contribute to the objective evaluation of each Geopark’s performance and development.
Geopark reporting follows specific templates to ensure a consistent and homogeneous presentation of data across all Geoparks. In addition, these reports provide valuable supporting information for the Geopark revalidation process.
⚠️ NEW EXTENDED DEADLINE: 30 April 2026 – Please make sure to submit your report on time.
